Camping at Les Trexons
The campground consists of a number of fields and avenues and about 36 free pitches. These are spacious (average 100m2) and green. Some places have more sun, others more shade, in the open field or between vegetation.
The campsite is located in an agricultural and wooded area and is separated from the forest by the Goulle stream. From the campsite you can walk straight into nature.
Electricity is available on every pitch (6 amp). The water on the site is drinkable.
Centrally located is the sanitary building, with toilets, free (family) showers and dishwashing facilities. The reception also has a living room function (with opening hours), a bar with local drinks, among other things, and there is a playroom for when the weather is bad. There are several playing fields, with and without equipment.
Reservations are recommended for the months of July and August.
The seasons
Although we welcome most campers in the summer (July and August), the Vosges is also beautiful in spring, fall and winter. To enjoy these, we have extended the camping season from mid-April to mid-September and the apartment remains accessible year-round.
There are four seasons in the Vosges Mountains. Summers are usually pleasantly warm with occasional showers. In the evenings it cools down. In late summer and autumn, the environment changes color and mushrooms sprout. You will find many local residents in the woods with their baskets full of porcini mushrooms, chanterelles, and other fungi. As it gets quieter in the campground, the chances of spotting wildlife are much greater. Snow still falls here in the winter, although it is also less than before. From the campsite it takes 20 minutes to get to the slopes where you can ski, sled and cross-country ski.
When spring arrives we enjoy the sunshine, the fields full of flowers and butterflies at the campsite, while higher up there is still snow to be found. For bird lovers and wildlife, this is also a great time to come camping.
