What we offer
We have 45 plots available where you can bring your own tent, caravan or small camper van. The plots are spacious (about 120 m2 each), green and varied. We have a large central field, another more elevated field with more trees, and also a part with more plants and shrubbery. There are plots with a big view, but also spaces that offer more privacy.
Electricity (6 amp) is available on any plot and the water is safe to drink.
Our centrally located, renovated facilities offer toilets, free (family friendly) showers and washing up sinks.
We also offer fully furnished “De Waard” tents, caravans and cabins (from 2021). For further details, please refer to the “Rentals” page. Greencamp also offers 5 safari tents on our campsite, please contact them directly.
Making a reservation is recommended for the months July and August.
Low- and main season
The beauty of all seasons
While most holiday makers visit us during high season, the Les Vosges area is absolutely stunning in spring & autumn! For you to appreciate the beauty of the area through the seasons, we now open our campsite from late April until mid October (See “Practical Information” for full details). Once the snow has melted away, the flowers have free reign, we don’t mow the main field until the spring flowers start wilting. And because it’s relatively quiet on our site, you can spot more animals. Birds of prey, woodpeckers, fieldfares, kingfishers (rare), deer and foxes. Although it’s springtime on the campsite, you will still find snow on higher grounds (Col de la Schlucht, Hohneck). Great for some winter fun, and warm up again by the fire afterwards on the sunny and flowery campsite.
In autumn mushrooms shoot up everywhere and the trees turn into an explosion of colours. A fantastic time for long, autumnal walks in the wider surrounding area of Les Trexons.
Bear in mind that the evenings can be chilly, we do have electric heaters available for hire, but definitely don’t forget to bring your woolly jumper!
Our rates are lower throughout the low season.
